60 Minute First Aid Refresher
Online group session recording + resources + eBook + 2 months of Thrive Parenthood, only $19.
What's covered?
A calm, practical refresher session for parents, grandparents and carers who have completed first aid training before… but can’t quite remember what to do when it actually matters.
Is My Child Unwell?
What sort of breathing pattern should I be worried about? We'll go through real examples of breathing *red flags* that will help you to know what to do and where to seek help.
Fever & Rashes
Understand what is normal, what deserves closer attention and the key red flags parents should know when children are unwell. We’ll simplify fevers, common childhood rashes and when symptoms may require urgent medical assessment.
CPR
Refresh the essential steps of baby and child CPR in a calm, practical way that helps the information actually stick. We’ll revisit DRSABCD, and infant/child CPR so you feel more confident responding in an emergency.
Preventing & Treating a Burn
Learn the immediate first aid steps for burns, including what to do in the first few minutes and the common outdated advice to avoid. We’ll also cover when a burn can be managed at home versus when medical review is important.
Head Injury
What's the difference from a head knock and a concussion? Should I be calling an ambulance if my baby or toddler hurts their head? We'll cover who to call, when to take action and the signs to look out for.
I can't join on the day - should I still sign up?

HEY! I'MÂ CLAIRE
As a Maternal Child Health Nurse, Midwife & Mum, I know how overwhelming it can feel when you’re expected to remember what to do in an emergency involving your child.
Every single week I speak with families who have completed first aid training before, but can’t quite remember the important details when it comes to CPR, burns, fevers and choking. Research shows that CPR knowledge and practical skills can begin to decline within as little as 3–6 months after training, which is exactly why refreshers like this can make such a difference in helping parents feel calmer, more confident and more prepared.
